The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination. -Carl Rogers
My areas of focus include relationship challenges, depression, father wounds, men’s identity and sexuality, men with sexual addiction, and grief and loss issues. My counseling experience includes working with couples, young adults, and individuals. I am passionate of bringing God’s healing and restoration to the lives of those I walk alongside with.
I am a CSAT (Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist) and a CMAT (Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist) working with people to restore their lives and relationships. Sexual addiction is complex, but it is possible to escape. I am a certified CSAT/CMAT, trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes. It necessitates continuing education to help me remain an expert on sexual addiction/multiple addictions and this rigorous training helps me provide the best possible treatment.
I have a BA in Psychology from University of California, Riverside and a Masters in Counseling specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State Long Beach. I co-founded the Soul Restoration Project in 2008 and currently serve as the Associate Director. I have a background in campus ministry and have worked with college students and their leaders for over 15 years. I have been married since 2000 and have a son and a daughter.
I am a current member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). My other qualifications include:
• Certification in Sex Addiction Therapy (CSAT®), which is quickly becoming the field’s standard for all therapists working with individuals who suffer from addictive and compulsive sexual behaviors.
• Certification in Multiple Addictions Therapy (CMAT®), which is quickly becoming the field’s standard for all therapists working with individuals who suffer from addictive and compulsive substances and behaviors.
• Certification in PREPARE/ENRICH, a program that provides feedback to couples regarding their strengths and areas of potential growth
